The Colloid Society mourns the passing of Prof. Dr. Helmuth Möhwald.
Prof. Dr. Helmuth Möhwald passed away on March 27, 2018. He was particularly closely associated with the Colloid Society for many years. In 1998, he was the first Liesegang Prize winner, and from 2003 to 2007, he was chairman of the Colloid Society. Until 2017, he continued to support the work of the Society very actively as a member of the Board of Directors. In 2009, the Colloid Society awarded him the Ostwald Prize. Helmuth Möhwald was an outstanding scientist and will be remembered as an impressive personality and very inspiring person.
